Vettec Equi-Pak Hoof Pack
Equi-Pak is a fast setting, liquid urethane hoof packing material that provides durable, shock absorbent, cushioned support which retains its shape and flexibility indefinitely.
Equi-Pak can be used with or without a pad and adheres to the sole sealing out moisture and debris, protecting both the frog and sole. Equi-Pak will leave the sole in excellent condition, eliminating cheesy sole.

- Areas of wetness, bleeding, or infection should not be covered. Once healed, commence using the products.
- Do not burn or "Hot Shoe" this product.
- Use only Vettec Mixing Tips
To open the cartridge, remove the tip at line with nippers. Insert cartridge into dispensing gun, label side up.
Before attaching the mixing tip, equalize the cartridge by squeezing out a small amount to ensure that both sides are dispensing evenly.
Attach mixing tip by pressing and twisting clockwise. If using the small 48cc cartridges, the end of the tip can be cut to create a larger opening.
When finished, do not release the pressure with the lever on the back of the dispenser. Remove the mixing tip immediately, discard, and replace with a cap. The pressure can now be released. Caps are available from your dealer. For additional applications, re-equalize the cartridge, and attach a new tip.
DRY HOOF THOROUGHLY using a heat gun or hair dryer. Do not overheat the hoof.
If the hoof is oily, wipe the affected areas with a cloth moistened with DENATURED ALCOHOL. Do not saturate the hoof. Dry thoroughly. DO NOT USE ACETONE.
If open at heels, place mix tip under pad at heel and fill to back of pad. If the heels are crushed or under run, pre-drill a 5/16 inch hole in the pad near the apex of the frog and nail into position under the shoe. Place the Equi-Pak mixing tip against the hole and dispense until filled to the back of the pad. Cover hole with a piece of tape.
Once set, in approximately 25 seconds, release the hoof.
Replace mixing tip and repeat process as necessary.
Trim and pare out the sole. If the sole is flat, seating out the shoe is advised. Nail the shoe into position.
Wire brush the sole and dry thoroughly with a heat gun or hair dryer.
With the frog turned upward, apply Equi-Pak underneath the web of the shoe and fill in the sole until the desired level is achieved. Usually this is to the base of the shoe.
Hold the hoof until the Equi-Pak sets, 25 seconds, then release.
